My stance on insurance is this: You might not have full coverage, they’ll try to weasel out of paying you AND you might go for years without getting into an accident. Apparently no one sees age discrimination if it were slapped on to their face. Ok the situation is as follows: I am selling my car for a new one. I have asked my current insurer to transfer my policy to the new car which is fine. I was in an accident back in December that I was not at fault for. The facts of the accident are as follows; I was at the intersection of a major road and the interstate. I was in the second lane, which is a turn/straight lane. The other driver was in the third lane, which is a straight only lane. The light turned green, and I proceeded to go straight. The other driver, thinking he was in a turn lane, proceeded to turn directly in front of me. I attempted to stop but struck his rear driver side. He got out of his truck and immediately apologized saying it was his fault, and that he thought he was in a turn lane. I proceeded to call the police, and had both an accident exchange form , and police report filed. However, when speaking to the officer the other driver changed his story and stated he was in the turn lane and that I was at fault. In the police report it says that I was in the turn/straight lane, and he was in the turn only lane, but somehow was to the right of me which is impossible, and that he disregarded the turn marks at the intersection and was struck by me. He also told his insurance the same thing he told the officer. I’ve been dealing with the insurance company since December, I sent pictures, sent them the crash report, and spoke to them numerous times, but today they told me that they were not accepting liability. There was a traffic camera at the scene of the accident, but according to the insurance company, the only way you can acquire the footage of an accident is with a court case involved. Does anyone know what steps I need to take to get the ball rolling on taking this ahole to court. I am considering getting braces. I had them when i was a teen about 10-11 years ago but my mom never took me to the ortho so i just ended up taking them off myself. Rear ended by driver without insurance?
i rear ended yesterday when i stopped at a traffic light. After I was rear ended I immediately stepped out of my car and asked the driver for her insurance and license. the driver claims she did not have insurance since she hasn’t driven this car for 3 months and had just left a body shop which told her, her brakes don’t work and she needs to use the emergency brake to stop. When i asked her for her driver’s license she didn’t have that on her either (which i thought was quite odd). Nevertheless, i got her name, address, driver’s license number and phone number and left. No police was called to the scene since this was my first accident and I wasn’t really sure what to do. A tornado ripped through my neighborhoos augst 19th. I called to report a claim. The main thing was a tree toppled lines that pulled the power mast from my house. I spoke to the adjuster a day later, then he was at my house another day later, but didnt bother to knock on my door, so I didnt eget to meet him. I had to make multiple phone calls a week later to see if he came or not. Then another 3 weeks and more multiple phone calls, and he said he did have a ‘report’, but didnt email it to me for a week. He suggested a contractor estimate since the siding was damaged. I have old asbestos siding in a weird wood grain/vertical stripe pattern I had multiple contractors out who said this pattern is nowhere to be found. Then didnt heaar from them again for a month and the contractor i chose couldnt get ahold of anyone. Turns out my adjustor was out of town. I was very upset, they assigned a new adjustor, and one day when I was coming home from work, she and my contracotr were at my house (without bothering to tell me) to get a sample of the siding she could mail in for analysis and a match up. Now they are saying there is a match (reasonable)"

I had to get blood testing done for school clinicals. None of it is covered. My car has recently been declared an insurance write off, basically a young guy (17) pulled out of a side road T-Bone ing me, causing me to be pushed into a tree, all the under body of my car was twisted and it would cost more to repair than the car is worth. My illustration shows about $600,000 cash value when I am 70- that is with a 12% return.
