Ok the situation is as follows: I am selling my car for a new one. I have asked my current insurer to transfer my policy to the new car which is fine. However I then questioned about temporarily insuring my old car under the policy and they wanted a ridiculous amount of money for a week – I also do not know how long it will take to sell the car. I questioned the amount and asked what customers generally do when they wish to keep an old car insured. I was told that I could drive my old car on a 3rd party basis as my policy going forward covers me fully comprehensive. I thought fantastic – but then I was shocked when I was told that if I drive the car it is insured 3rd party only but as soon as I park it up somewhere it is uninsured and could be towed away by the police. I have since read my policy document which claim that I can drive any other car 3rd party providing I do not own the car and that there is already insurance in place? What to do when at fault driver’s insurance denies liability?
I was in an accident back in December that I was not at fault for. The facts of the accident are as follows; I was at the intersection of a major road and the interstate. I was in the second lane, which is a turn/straight lane. The other driver was in the third lane, which is a straight only lane. The light turned green, and I proceeded to go straight. The other driver, thinking he was in a turn lane, proceeded to turn directly in front of me. I attempted to stop but struck his rear driver side. He got out of his truck and immediately apologized saying it was his fault, and that he thought he was in a turn lane. I proceeded to call the police, and had both an accident exchange form , and police report filed. However, when speaking to the officer the other driver changed his story and stated he was in the turn lane and that I was at fault. In the police report it says that I was in the turn/straight lane, and he was in the turn only lane, but somehow was to the right of me which is impossible, and that he disregarded the turn marks at the intersection and was struck by me. He also told his insurance the same thing he told the officer. I’ve been dealing with the insurance company since December, I sent pictures, sent them the crash report, and spoke to them numerous times, but today they told me that they were not accepting liability. There was a traffic camera at the scene of the accident, but according to the insurance company, the only way you can acquire the footage of an accident is with a court case involved. Does anyone know what steps I need to take to get the ball rolling on taking this ahole to court. I don’t want a lawyer so don’t go there, I just need to know if anyone has any experience with this sort of thing."

I filed numerous appeals to my ins. com over them trying to make me pay for anesthesia for an emergency surgery I had. They lied claiming I hadn’t filed them, although I had proof. They denied each claim saying I had to pay; however, the ins. commissioner just called me telling me the ins. co is paying NOW. My ins. co. was ordered to refund money back to me for charges I paid they claimed were out of network. I found out they really were in network!! If everyone turns in their shady insurance companies they won’t be able to have their licenses renewed. Why would they not want them renewed? My newest ins. co LIED giving me numbers for Drs. who do not take my insurance. I reported this also to the ins. commissioner, & he said he’d look into it. I am considering getting braces. I had them when i was a teen about 10-11 years ago but my mom never took me to the ortho so i just ended up taking them off myself. I had them on the top row only for 2 years and in the end my teeth were really straight but i didn’t wear a retainer so they got all jacked up again. Now that i’m older i want them cause i want my teeth straight. The whole time i had them they bugged me. The wires in the back would unravel (even when my mom would take me to get them tightened) and cut into the back wall/gum of my mouth. I used to have to get a ball off wax or even a wad of gum and shove it back there and keep it there and as soon as i would take it out i would be in agony. I still even have a bump (scaring) on both sides of my mouth. Also the braces would cut up and irritate the back of my upper lip which i also had to keep wax or gum between them. Not to mention when you get them tightened your mouth gets so sore it sucks. So i was wondering if there have been new improvements since i had my braces. i rear ended yesterday when i stopped at a traffic light. After I was rear ended I immediately stepped out of my car and asked the driver for her insurance and license. the driver claims she did not have insurance since she hasn’t driven this car for 3 months and had just left a body shop which told her, her brakes don’t work and she needs to use the emergency brake to stop.
